Judolions stand for Integration PDF Print E-mail
IMG_2744The SFV Europa Judolions presented their skills at the Integration Fair 2010 in Braunschweig this weekend. First they presented the History of Judo to an interested public at the Landesmuseum in the City. Then they showed their sports in the historical site in the heart of the city right underneath the world famous bronze lion surrounded by castle and minster of Braunschweig. Afterwards they were open for any questions bystandes might have in the museum and ready to show some more of their judoskills. Thanks to all helpers, parents and kids who freely put their efforts to this event (Pictures are to be dound in our Gallery!
 
Andre Breitbarth winning title of "Braunschweig Athlete of the Year" PDF Print E-mail
P1020224The SFV Europa Judoka were cheering their champion before his name was pronounced properly: Andre Breitbarth was elected "Athlete of the year" in the VW Hall at the 29th of January 2010. He really earned the title with his success at the Junior World Championships 2009 winning the Bronze medal and with his Bronze Medal win at the Mens German Championships 2010 at first go. Congratulations!

Gold für Sven Gärtner und Bronze für Deborah Jäger in Garbsen PDF Print E-mail

Sven Gärtner startete zum Saisonauftakt am Samstag, den 28.08.2010, in Garbsen. Er konnte sich beim Teufelturnier in der Gewichtsklasse -55 kg der Jugend u15 unter 12 Teilnehmern auf den ersten Platz vorarbeiten. Nach einem Freilos im ersten Kampf konnte Sven die zweite Begegnung gegen einen Gegner aus Bremen mit Hüftwurf durch Ippon vorzeitig den Sieg davon tragen. In der dritten Kampfpaarung siegte er nach Verlängerung durch Kampfrichterentscheid, um sich im anschließenden Finale durch Hüftwurf klar vorzeitig  durchzusetzen. Bei den Mädchen kämpfte sich Deborah Jäger ins kleine Finale vor und konnte hier Bronze holen.

Anschließend starteten in einem Teilnehmerfeld von 23 Kämpfern in der Gewichtsklasse – 66 kg als jüngste Kämpfer der Alterskategorie u18 Jan Reisner und Julian Schade. Jan Reisner konnte seinen ersten Kampf gewinnen, wurde dann jedoch durch Daniel Hiltemann aus Wermelskirchen in die Trostrunde geschickt. Hier gewann er den nächsten Kampf gegen Simon Löhne in der Verlängerung und musste leider anschließend verletzungsbedingt aufgeben. Julian Schade gewann seinen Auftaktkampf  und musste sich im nächsten Kampf gegen Sebastian Greiner aus Leverkusen geschlagen geben. In der Trostrunde konnte er zwei weitere Kämpfe gegen Sven Pophal und Fabian Wäge gewinnen. Im Anschluss verlor er gegen Daniel Hiltemann und schied somit aus dem Turnier aus. Herzlichen Glückwunsch allen Siegern und Platzierten!


 
On the Road: Fössepokal for u14 and u17 SFV Europa Judoka PDF Print E-mail
A team of 16 SFV Europa Judoka won the Fössepokal tournament on the second weekend  with 40 points in the lead in June scoring 5 Gold and Siver medals each as well as 4 Bronze medals.
Mira Czarnetzki (-36 kg) and Anika Richter (-52 kg) won Medals at the Fössepokal Youth under 14 in Hannover on Saturday, the 12th of June 2010. Mira Czarnetzki won Gold due to three premature Ippon scores with hip throw, grappling technique and armlock, Anika Richter won Bronze starting in a weight category higher than her own.
On Sunday started the boys in the age categories u14 and u17 years of age. Gold won Jan VanderVorst (-43 kg), Roberto DiGioia (-46 kg), Tom Fricke (-60 kg) and in the age category u17 Alexander Sehrt (-43 kg) and Frederik Jäde (-50 kg). Silver was won by Johannes Höse (-31 kg, Marek Schulze (-37 kg), Leon Vollrath (-43 kg) and in the  age category u17 Robin Sixt (-55 kg) and Julian Schade (-66 kg). Bronze was won by Moritz Sinning (-37 kg), Timo Sixt (-43 kg) and in the age category u17 Sven Gärtner (-50 kg).  Björn Krok and Jan Reisner didnt reach medal ranks yet in their new weight categories but showed some engaged fighting. Congratulations!
 
Northern Regional League: Braunschweig hosting next round 2010 PDF Print E-mail
The SFV Europa Judoka were hosting the next round in the Northern regional league this Saturday in June 2010. The mens team won 4:3 against the Branfeld team and lost by inches agaisnt the team from Schwarzenbek 3:4. The Womens results will be seen here shortly. Congratulations!
 
SFV Europa Judoka starting in the Netherlands 2010 PDF Print E-mail
A Group of SFV Europa players started at the International Tournament Venry, Netherlands, the last weekend of MAy 2010. THe younger players were not able to reach medal renks yet, but gained a lot of new experiences. Deborah Jäger, Mira Czarnetzki  (both 36 kg) and Nina Lange (-52 kg) won two out of four matches each as well as Timo Sixt (-42kg). Sven Gärtner  (-46 kg) won three out of five matches an his team mate Frederik Jäde (-50 kg) scored with Ippon in six out of eight matches using several different techniques. He left quite an impression in a strong field of 73 participants and lost only by referees decision against an opponent from England.
 
Northern Regional League: Braunschweig Women win again PDF Print E-mail
The SFV Europa Womens Regional League Team was successful in Tarp on theis second round 2010. The team won twice 4:3 against the teams from Godshorn and Neumünster and reached a stand off 3:3 decision against the OTB team. They lost against Tarp 2:5. Fighting: AnnKathrin Breitbarth, Anika Richter, Jana Franz, Anne Richter, Lisa Bruns, Janine Pfister, Johanna Buhlke and Christina Schwarzer. Fans this time were the still injured players Madelaine Brennecke and Viktoria Müller. The mens team was less lucky this time, since several players could not start due to jobduties. They lost 5:2 and 6:1 in Kronshagen. Still Congratulations to all players to their efforts!

Winning Leonide 2010: Karina Zabbarov PDF Print E-mail
This years Leoniade was won by Karina Zabbarov, Lars Geiger came in second. The torurnament was held in public at the Schloss Arkaden Braunschweig on Saturday, the 5th of June 2010. The pround winners were awarded their medals by Andre Beitbarth, the Bronze Medal Winner 2010 od the World Junior Championships, and by Dr. Burmeister from the Niedersächsische Lotto Sport Stiftung, who is currently supporting the award winning Concept of the SFV Europa for new talents.
 
Judo Summer Camp 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Over 65 particpants met in the first 10 days of summer vacation following an old and good tradition. In the morning hours they practced their judo togehter and in the afternoons they worked on this years main topic "Moving music!" putting together a show for their friends and families. They worked songs out composing and texting new lines, making instruments and styling outfits for their show. They also had lot of holiday fun conoeing, swimming, having discoactivities and playing games even in the night hours. A visit to the famous zoo of Hannover was this years additional trip. Warm summer weather with lots of sun

Trip to Scharbeutz 2009 PDF Print E-mail
26 young Judolions spent their vacation time on a trip to Scharbeutz at the Baltic Sea from the 21rst to the 24rth of May 2009. By train they reached their destination and spent some nice and sunny days at the beach. In addition they visited the spa "Ostseetherme" and "Seaworld" on their first day in Timmendorf. Trampoline, Soccer with "Norbert" the ball and lots of fun in the water

Leoniade 2009: Judolions are Songsmiths PDF Print E-mail

Our Judolions showed their talents at the SFV Europa LEoniade Song Contest 2009 and many of the young judoka proved to be gifted songsmiths. Chiaras "Courage Song" won the contest followed closely by Danielas "Tournament Rap" and the song displayed by "Kais cool boys".

Leoniade 2009 - The Winner is Chiara Sixt PDF Print E-mail
More than 80 young Judolions startet at this years Leoniade 2009 on Saturday, the 16th of May 2009. First they had to show their coordinative skills, then shey demonstrated their prowess on the mat in a Pool Tournament and last they showed their skills at a song contest, leaving fans and families astonished and proud. They  were then awarded their medals by German Champion 2009 SFV Europa Judoka Andre Breitbarth. Finally the moment came: Chiara Sixt was anounced Leoniade Winner 2009 (140 points), Daniela Ehricht, Jakob Terschlüsen and Lars Geiger (all 130 points) placed second and Karina Zabbarov (120 points) came in fifth.
