Andre Breitbarth winning title of "Braunschweig Athlete of the Year" PDF Print E-mail
P1020224The SFV Europa Judoka were cheering their champion before his name was pronounced properly: Andre Breitbarth was elected "Athlete of the year" in the VW Hall at the 29th of January 2010. He really earned the title with his success at the Junior World Championships 2009 winning the Bronze medal and with his Bronze Medal win at the Mens German Championships 2010 at first go. Congratulations!

Osnabrück 2010 u14: Timo Sixt winning Bronze PDF Print E-mail
DSC_3347Timo Sixt won Bronze at the annual Osnabrück tournament within the Lower Saxony region. He won his first three matches, but was sent into repucharge round in the pool final. Fighting for Bronze he showed an exciting match placing third after his win. His team mates Marek Schulze..

Frederik Jäde and Robert Barwig winning Regional Championships 2010 u17 PDF Print E-mail
IMG_0053Frederik Jäde (-50 kg) and Robert Barwig (-66 kg) both won the title of Lower Saxony Champion 2010 this weekend in the age category youth under 17. They made it look easy with dominant Kumi Kata and thus won all their matches prematurely and mostly after a few seconds only. Julian Schade (-60 kg) and Sven Gärtner (-46 kg) won Bronze showing some spirited fights. Also qualified for the Northern Regional Championships is Gerrit Fucke (-43 kg), who ranked fifth after lively matches. Also fighting were Björn Krok (-73 kg), Jan Reisner (-60 kg) and Robin Sixt (-55 kg). Congratulations!

Lower Saxony Championships Juniors u20: 2 Gold, one Bronze, one Silvermedal for SFV Europa Judoka PDF Print E-mail
IMG_3914SFV Europa Judoka were able to win 2 Gold, one Bronze, one Silvermedal at the Lower Saxony Championships Juniors u20 at the 23rd of January 2010. Lisa Lachetta won the title of Lower Saxony champion in the weight category -70 k. Rieke Reisner ranked fifth -63 kg while Lisa Krüger was not able to reach medal ranks starting the first time in the new age category.
Christoph Barg (-90 kg) won Gold while his team mate Björn Reck placed fifth. Felix Schulze won silver at first go in his new age category (-81 kg), while Philipp Sarner earned Bronze in his weight category -66 kg. Congratulations ans good luck at the next level of the Northern Regional championships!
 
German Championships 2010: Bronze for Andre Breitbarth PDF Print E-mail
2009_DEMu20Andre Breitbarth was able to win Bronze at the German Championships 2010 in January, the 23rd, in Bayreuth. He lost his first fight against Fred Finzelberg (FFO), who later won Bronze as well. He then won against Sven Heinle (Württemberg) after 93 seconds only with ippon and also won preaturely against Jens Peter Bischof (Randori Berlin) after only a half a minute match. Fighting for Bronze he then scored victory against Timo Bierau (SC Berlin) with Ippon after a four minute match. Thus he showed that he can score not only in Junior categories but in the mens age category as well. Congratulations!
 
Nice Start: 8 SFV player qualified for Regional Championship u17 PDF Print E-mail
The local championships of the youth under 17 were hosted in Braunschweig on Saturday, the 16th of January 2010. - 50 kg won Robin Sixt Gold.  3 SFV Euopa Judoka participated -60 kg : Julian Schade won Gold, Jan Reisner placed third and Thorben Pieper ranked fifth.  Björn Krok reached Bronze in his new weight category - 73 kg. Furthermore qualified for the regional championships are Robert Barwig, Gerrit Fucke, Sven Gärtner and Frederik Jäde, who were on Kadertraining today. Congratulations to all qualified participants!

Judo Summer Camp 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Over 65 particpants met in the first 10 days of summer vacation following an old and good tradition. In the morning hours they practced their judo togehter and in the afternoons they worked on this years main topic "Moving music!" putting together a show for their friends and families. They worked songs out composing and texting new lines, making instruments and styling outfits for their show. They also had lot of holiday fun conoeing, swimming, having discoactivities and playing games even in the night hours. A visit to the famous zoo of Hannover was this years additional trip. Trip to Scharbeutz 2009 PDF Print E-mail
26 young Judolions spent their vacation time on a trip to Scharbeutz at the Baltic Sea from the 21rst to the 24rth of May 2009. By train they reached their destination and spent some nice and sunny days at the beach. In addition they visited the spa "Ostseetherme" and "Seaworld" on their first day in Timmendorf. Trampoline, Soccer with "Norbert" the ball and lots of fun in the water

Leoniade 2009: Judolions are Songsmiths PDF Print E-mail

Our Judolions showed their talents at the SFV Europa LEoniade Song Contest 2009 and many of the young judoka proved to be gifted songsmiths. Chiaras "Courage Song" won the contest followed closely by Danielas "Tournament Rap" and the song displayed by "Kais cool boys".

Leoniade 2009 - The Winner is Chiara Sixt PDF Print E-mail
More than 80 young Judolions startet at this years Leoniade 2009 on Saturday, the 16th of May 2009. First they had to show their coordinative skills, then shey demonstrated their prowess on the mat in a Pool Tournament and last they showed their skills at a song contest, leaving fans and families astonished and proud. They  were then awarded their medals by German Champion 2009 SFV Europa Judoka Andre Breitbarth. Finally the moment came: Chiara Sixt was anounced Leoniade Winner 2009 (140 points), Daniela Ehricht, Jakob Terschlüsen and Lars Geiger (all 130 points) placed second and Karina Zabbarov (120 points) came in fifth.

Wednesday Group: It´s not easy to stay on Top! PDF Print E-mail
It is not easy to stay on top - especially of a pyramid. But the group of Kai Scheibner on Wednesdays is showing here how to do it anyway. Fun, fitness and coordinative skills are required to make this possible as well as a good cooperation with all the partneres involved. All these skills are needetd to become a good judoka as well and thus the group is well prepared for the next Kyu examination coming up. Great picture, guys, and keep smiling!
