The SFV Europa Judolions won Bronze at the Northern Regional Championships Youth u17 2009 in Norderstedt on Sunday, the 1rst of November. They lost their initial match against the TH Eilbeck with 1:6. They quickly bounced back from this disappointment and won their next round against the team from Bremen clearly with 7:0 score. They also scored 4:3 against the Schleswig Hosltein team from Budokan Lübeck afterwards thus reaching semifinals. Here they lost in a close tie against the team from Osnabrück 3:4 and thus gained 3rd place securing the bronze medal for Braunschweig.

Team members were Alexander Sehrt, Gerrit Fucke, Robin Sixt, Lando Schwekendiek (TC Hameln), Julian Schade, Robert Barwig, Stefan Sarner, Maximilian Böhnisch, David Juscyk (MTV Celle), Ole Schulze, Felix Schulze, Jason Westwood (JKG Diekholzen) and Björn Reck.
