Sven Gärtner and Frederik Jäde both won Bronze at the Northern Regional Championships 2009 in Rastede on Sunday, the 8th od November 2009. Thus two out of four qualified players reched medal ranks this year.

Sven Gärtner scored in his first two matches but lost his semi final. Fighting for third place he won prematurely with Harai Goshi. His younger team collegue Timo Sixt (also - 43 kg) scored in several matches despite his young age but also lost his semi final. Fighting for third place he had to succumb to an armlock of his older opponent and thus reached rank five. Frederik Jäde (-46 kg) lost his first match in Golden Score due to an armlock of his opponent, but he recovered from disappointment and scored prematurely in the next three fights with sickle technique, grips and hip throw thus gaining a bronze medal. Mira Czarnetzki (-33 kg) startet in the girls contest as youngest of her age group but still reached rank five in several spirited and concentrated fights. She scored with hip throw, armlock and grips in her winning fights. Congratulations!
