 The Judolion cubs aged under eleven were starting at the local championships for this age group in Isenbüttel on Sunday, the 29th of November 2009. They were grouped in pools of five participants for this beginners competition thus having four matches each and gaining much experience on the mat. All were engaged with much input and showed strong efforts to present themselves at their best this very first time.
Niklas Werner, Jakob Terschlüsen and Karina Zabbarov - the latter being the youngest in her weight catagory and age group - won the title of Local Champion u11, while Jona Abraham, Tarek Scharifi, Kristian Wesche and Pascal Weissleder - also the youngest member in their field of participants - won the title of Vice Local Champion u11. Youngster Christopher Täger gained the Bronze medal after several engaged and spirited fights, while his team collegue Sinan Baykal gained first experiences on the mat. Congratulations! |
