DSC_3998Five times Bronze an one Silver Medal were won by the SFV Europa Judolions  at the Bremen Open Competition on the second Advent weekend in 2009. Chiara Sixt  placed 3rd at the girls cometition u11, while Mira Czarnetzki (-33 kg) also reached Bronze in the girls class under 14, and Anika Richter (-63 kg) won Bronze at the Womens category u23. Gerrit Fucke (-43 kg) reached Bronze in the u17 class and Felix Schulze (-81 kg) won Silver, Frederik Jäde (-50 kg) and Timo Sixt (-43 kg) won Bronze in the u14 age group for boys next day.
Also fighting were their team mates Deborah Jäger, Nina Lange, Annika Günther, Johannes Höse, Moritz Sinning, Leon Vollratz, Jan VanderForst, Sven Gärtner, Roberto DiGioia. In the boys competition under 17 years of age Felix Schulze won a well earned Silver Medal after some agile and dominat matches. Also fighting were Alexander Sehrt, Ole Schulze, Thorben Pieper, Jan Reisner, Julian Schade, Robin Sixt. Coach Björn Deling was impressed with the input and performance of his young protegees: "They showed some agile and dominant matches and some showed much more input as was to be expected of their age group and showed they are to be reckoned with!"
