The Judolions Robert Barwig (-66 kg) and Frederik Jäde (-50 kg), the latter two starting youngest in their new age category, were able to win Gold at the Northern Regional Championships for Youth under 17 years of age and thus qualify for the German Championships 2010 in their age group.  Robert Barwig dominated his fights from the beginning and scored for Ippon wins prematurely. Frederik Jäde showed versatile and energetic fights using widely varying throwing techniques and thus also earned Gold in three premature Ippon wins awarded for shoulder throw and sickle techniques.

Their team mate Julian Schade (-60 kg) placed fifth after five matches. After one fight won he lost his second match and found himselv in repucharge round. Here he scored with Ko Uchi Make Komi and a sickle technique. Fighting for third place he lost after an even match due to a shoulder throw of his opponent. Sven Gärtner (-46 kg) won his fist match but lost the second fight, in repucharge round he as able to win one more fight before he had to drop out of the competition after his second lost match. Still a very promising debüt for the young Judoka. Congratulations!
